Our waitress Natalie was amazing. Our fellow diners, not so much. I was pleasantly surprised with how yummy it all is! So much food I have enough leftovers for 2 more meals! But hey trashy people who apparently frequent this place...lets go over some basic manners: 1. No talking on phones during dinner 2. If you need the waitress, don't snap and wave to get her attention 3. If you have an issue with the bill, have a quiet conversation with the waitress. Don't badmouth her to other guests. 4. Enjoy the time with your family and have some conversation! 5. Appreciate the show and the training your chef probably went through to make it a fun experience. We all need to remember our manners. And that means you.

Came in to meet a friend for lunch. In always shocked to see how put together they always have it when I come in. The host checked us in&told us 5-10 minutes, which is okk. They sat us with two other pairs, which I understand because there's only so many chefs they want to try to make it convenient as possible. Sometimes you get sat with really cool people and sometimes you get stuck with the picky people who want everything done a certain way, extra sauce, sauce on side, no mushrooms, etc., or you get the awkward people who just don't talk. If you're lucky, you get your own table so you can actually talk about things you want to without feeling weird. 5 stars for hibachi. I got the hibachi shrimp. I didn't get our chefs name but he was very fun and had a lot of personality. Started off with the mushroom soup, which is nice cause some other places don't offer mushrooms. Our chef came and did the vegetables, volcano onion, chicken fried rice-which I'm really suprised about because other places charge the same for fried rice but with no chicken, and my shrimp /everyone else's food. If you haven't tried the shrimp sauce over your fried rice, it's a must try. It's so delicious. Honestly, I don't think the fried rice is that good without the shrimp sauce over it. One thing I did notice though, is how they season everything with the same thing. Everything tasted great though. I subtracted one star because of the sushi. We ordered sushi and it just wasn't that good or special. In fact, the shrimp on top of it fell off of it. It didn't even stay on and I felt like the sushi lacked flavor. Over-all, it was a great experience and my friend loved it. Thank you benihana!

My entire family is part of the birthday club and it is a tradition for us to go for each of our birthdays. Mine was last month and we did an early dinner on a Tuesday night with our oldest son. He is the pickiest eater and he loves eating here! The show is always good and entertaining for our son and love the hibachi and can't beat that shrimp sauce! I have had sushi here too and the Las Vegas roll is a must try. They have a great happy hour too so there is a little bit for everyone! Great location nearby our house, so happy they opened another location outside of the original off of 394

I have been here a couple times for their lunch. Both visits were for a birthday celebration. This is a wonderful place to have a good meal and be entertained. I love how the chefs cook the food in front of the customers. The stoves are by the tables. The chefs do a lot of cool choreography with their kitchen utensils to entertain us while cooking the food. From what I have observed, these chefs are a talented bunch. I think this gives a unique and interesting touch to the restaurant. The waiter was friendly, helpful, and willing to answer questions that I may have had. The employees also have a good eye on cleanliness. I did not have to make any requests for anything to be cleaned before sitting down at my table. The employees were also happy to accommodate us with the birthday celebrations. The food here is delicious. Both visits, I had the teriyaki steak cooked rare, sushi as my appetizer, and red wine. The plate was cooked to perfection. My friends who sat with me agreed. The food is a little pricier than the average place, but the price is worth every penny, considering the cooking quality. If I ever have a future celebration, I will keep this place in mind. I feel like I can count on this place for good food and good entertainment.

Oscar from (Mexico City) Japan was fantastic. Quick hands, great catches and a wonderful drum finish. I would imagine this is how the experience was intended. We frequent the north Scottsdale establishment, I wish Oscar performed at our place. Oscar presents a top performance! Oh yeah, the filet and lobster was superb!

Upgraded from 2 to 4 stars, extended time to get a table and the manager was great at catching this, he finally seated us personally and apologized with a huge discount and it was all great after that. Tony the waiter and Antonio the cook were fantastic. thanks to the manager Jim, he saved this visit

I absolutely love this restaurant. I've been to most of the main hibiachi grills in the area, and to me it always beats Ichiban, Sakana, Wasabi, and Osaka. Their service is great. I usually sit in the lounge/bar because I've sat at the grill enough times. The bartenders are friendly and attentive. Fawn is my favorite bartender. The food always comes out at a reasonable time and the sushi is always fresh. The drinks could use a little more alcohol for the price, but that's typical. The only thing I don't like about this location is how cold it is inside the restaurant! Other than that, it is my favorite place to get sushi, and they have the best yum yum sauce.

Went last night because the girlfriend had a birthday coupon to use up. It was my first trip to the place and wasn't overly impressed. It was great to be have the food cooked right there and the chef perform some funny and fun stuff, but the way things were cooked was a bit of a miss for me. Everything gets slathered in butter or lard, or whatever that stuff is. I get it, you're cooking on the flat top, but, really, everything? The end result, was food that all tasted relatively the same - buttery and salty. While most enjoy that kind of flavoring to their meal, I'm not one of them. The steak had 0 flavor outside of the salt. I mean, absolutely zero meat flavor. It was the same as a stuffing my mouth full of sunflower seeds. Shrimp was cooked too long to the point of being tough. I get it, it's raw and needs to be cooked thoroughly, but you're charging people $30+ for a single dish - get your timing down. Sushi was bland as could be. I'm no sushi snob by any means and prefer my fish cooked, but, I've indulged in the raw stuff and the California rolls were Costco grade. Crunchy wraps, meh, lacked any true flavor either. My dish, lemon chicken, was done ok. The chicken was cooked well, but again, very little flavor outside a salty buttery mix, and next to no lemon flavor. All in all, I guess people pay $25-$35 for an entree for the "show" in front of you. Which, the people next to me who have been to the restaurant for years say is the exact same as the first time (and every single chef around was doing the same "tricks"), kind of baffles me as to why. 2/5 for me.

We have developed a tradition of going here in November with another couple as our birthday's both fall in that month. The $30 birthday coupon isn't so much a way to save money as it is away to order exactly what you want without too much thought as to the price. I think in the 3 or 4 years we've been going absolutely nothing has changed. The menu, the decor, the same jokes from the same hibachi chef's. I don't even mean that as a bad thing. It's fun. The kids love it and the food is so delicious. So, sign up for the birthday club on their website and give it a try some time. You won't regret it.

This review is not based on the food but service. I was here last Thursday with a large group. We had reservations at 7 and had a guest running 15 minutes late. Once checked in we were seated closer to 8pm. Once we were greeted our server did not seem as friendly or happy. After drinks were served we waited for at least 20 minutes before our soups came out. Another 20 minutes had gone by finally someone comes to take the soups not our server and then we wait again another 15-20 minutes the chef finally comes to get the food going. Now after 5-10 minutes into the chef cooking our server finally brings our salads out. Once we had all finished our salads she never came back to take our salad bowls away. We all passed it down to the person on the end to move it out of our way to eat our dinner. Our friend then tried to order another drink. The server completely forgot about her drink and didn't bring it until we were all finished with our meals and ready for our tab. At the end we also requested for a photo and had to wave down any server because our server name came back. One of our friends has been there recently and received 4 copies of her photos. For our group of 8 we only received 1 photo. Most of us all been to Benihana numerous of times and this had to have been the worse experience we all have ever had. 2 of our guests never been here and we wish they would have had a better experience to want to return. We were there for 2 1/2 hours. Over all service was horrible but the hibachi dinner was good.

Decent place, good sushi very good hibachi rice especially combined with their signature sauce. Needs to improve the customer service on the waiter and hostess side, but Natalie did a very good job with our table. Good for happy hour and lunch.

Great service, great food, great experience. Next time i would like to bring 8 people (including myself) so we could fill a whole table. Two other couples with us, and the tables are kind of small and awkward sometimes.

Am I the only one who doesn't think the food here is all that great? The chefs are fun and the overall experience and ambiance means you have to try it atleast once, but I've been there twice for birthdays and wow is it pricey! Not only that, but most of the meat is simply cooked with butter, salt & pepper. They do use quality cuts of meat however but for the price that should be a given. The saving grace are the sauces they provide, but you can also make them at home or even buy them off their website. Buy a pack of shrimp, grill 'em at home, dip them in the sauce - Viola you just saved yourself $80 bucks. Also, as someone who has been to Japan, the miso soup they start you off with is only OK. Try once, but if you don't have the money lying around to come here opt out for other asian restaurants!

I made a reservation for my birthday with specific seating instructions requesting not to be seated with children or large groups and when we arrived I was informed that the "only" table available was a group of 5 with a child! I was told it would a half an hour wait for another option, I was flabbergasted. We just decided to skip the experience and sit in the other area, we ordered and when I received my meal, the unthinkable occurred, my steak was overcooked and tough - something they are known for was botched!? Once our server got another table, we were being a bit ignored/neglected, so I just wanted to get out of there. I told the server once she brought our bill to inform the chefs that they overcooked my steak but she sent the manager to our table instead, who was rude when we first arrived and flatly told me because I didn't let them remake the steak there wasn't anything he could do about my complaint. Excuse me? I was so disappointed and upset, this location ruined my birthday!

I went here for the third time over the past year. The experience was meh and for the price I would expect much more. For the food: it's okay. We had hibachi filet and hibachi chicken. The hibachi chef was nice. He had the same tricks as we've seen and he wasn't so great at the tricks but I assume he is new. He tried hard so I liked him. The service: not so great. We arrived at 6:20 for a 6:30 appointment and received and buzzer to wait. Two more groups walked in. About 5 minutes later they were seated. I approached the host to get an update on our reservation. He acted like he had a problem. We get to our grill which was in the middle between the windows and walls. I asked for another since people would be walking through. No can do. Boo. Next it was a solid 25 minutes before the chef showed up. Nothing but drinks which took too long. All in all - they seem short staffed and need to get some help and empower the staff. I expect more based on the price. I feel as if we are paying for the experience because the food is good but not good enough to warrant the price!

Make reservations. If not, shame on you. The cuisine quality and hibachi experience are just okay. Seems like the chefs are trained to do the same thing, no individual personality. I love authentic japanese, however, the menu is somewhat unauthentic to japanese food. Very westernized entre'es. Instead of a bento meal you get the same sides with all dishes. Small variety. No miso soup either, they have bland "onion" soup. It's good food, just not true to japan's culture. Fried rice and soba are chinese... They tend to us garlic and butter for almost every dish. Not so japanese. The sushi is fresh and yummy, they add their own style which is expected for sushi in america. It's average priced, unlike the costly entre'es. If you have seafood allergies, forget it. Two friends I dined with asked the chef to cook their chicken first, but he went ahead and cooked it with the shrimp, scallops, and whatever else. Even if it was prepaired apart, the cross contamination can be deadly. Common sense. All in all, it's fun. Not the best or cheapest, I don't think it's worth the price. Go for your birthday, free icecream and a photo to take home.

From our Caucasion server to our Hispanic Tapanyaki chef to our Middle Eastern busboy, our celebration of my awesome nephews 26th birthday was outstanding! And for a Monday night, this joint was hopping! About 10 of us were seated (upon arrival of all guests...a rule I totally respect) and instantly greeted and offered beverages. I hadn't been to a Benny's since my LA days when my Japanese American boyfriends parents would take us to the one in Beverly Hills. This experience easily trumped my visits there. We devoured our Las Vegas roll, Crunch roll, the brothy onion soup and the crisp, cold salad with the ginger dressing that I could easily enjoy swigging from a large plastic tumbler it is that good. The Tapanyaki experience did not disappoint as well. Carlos, our chef, was adorable, engaging and master of his tools. Well, you know what I mean...even allowing us to toss shrimp into his chef hat! The protein and fried rice were prepared perfectly. They even allow you to share an entree. My sis and I each had leftovers even! Can't wait to return for the global hospitality and fabulous cuisine!

I don't consider myself a sushi connoisseur but I have been to enough restaurants to know what is good. The service is awesome! The management is top notch! And the food is unbelievable! When it comes to sushi Dan is the man! If you are out for sushi know what you are looking for. If you order off the menu you get what it says. If you order sushi you order what the chef selects. Omakase! The ambience of Benihana is where it's at!

If you're looking for a little entertainment while eating your dinner, then this is the perfect place to go. This place is FUN! Their food is excellent! It is expensive, but worth it on occassion. The white sauce that comes with the Hibachi meals is absolutely amazing! I seriously pour that stuff over everything! They even serve sushi (which is nothing special & a little pricey, but I like having the option of ordering it!). Bonus: If you sign up for their email/bday club, you get a free - yes completely FREE - meal on your bday!!!

I went here with three friends for my birthday and had a great time. Their birthday rewards are thirty dollar gift certificates, which covered my whole meal (and would probably cover most meals on the menu). The waiter made sure I used all of the money which was nice and I got an extra thing of rice because he did that. I just left tip. It's fun having the food made right in front of you. They do make the meal and serve it in portions so you get your vegetables, rice, then meat. That means if you want to eat it together, part of it is cold. It still tasted good with the sauces and mixed all together. In case you are curious, the tip gets split between all the restaurant workers involved in working at your table, but the chef does get the biggest portion of the tip. They did ask if there were special occasions we were celebrating at the eight person table, and then took pictures of each party and gave each a printed picture and website to download the picture. Each birthday person got sung to and ice cream. I did like the atmosphere of the place. We were in a secluded corner, and although we were sitting with four people we didn't know, the tables are in such a way that you wind up talking most to the person next to you anyway... So yes, it would be best to have an even number of people when you come! I'd recommend this as a place to celebrate special occasions, especially birthdays. Just bring the printed coupon from the email if you are on their email list. They will treat you very well!

I stopped for lunch alone and asked for boat lunch. It was not crowded, say, 30-40% occupancy!?!?! but took 40 min to get the boat. Great value for the price with 2 pieces of salmon and another 2 pices of white fish sashimi. This whitefish had smell. I guess it was not fresh... I swallowed.. so too late. Again, value is great. and love this bento style which I can get bit of everything. This place is definitely for teppanyaki dinner !!

I went for the $30 all you can eat sushi....I've actually never had hibachi at Benihana and this review is based only on the sushi. I say, go somewhere else if you just want sushi...its "ok" but not amazing. Too much rice and not enough pizazz in the rolls. Positives: -atmosphere is fun and lively -staff is friendly, knowledgeable and smiling -the have yummy drinks like their holiday cranberry mojito and different sangria combos

I really liked this place. I went there a few months after they opened in Maple Grove and it was my first (and only) time at a Benihaha's. Wow, not only was the food good but the chef was very entertaining. It's hard to describe the experience: twirling knives, flipping food, etc (no our food never hit the ground). All in all, it's one of the best dining experiences I've had. The price is extremely high though, and for the price you'd get better steaks at Manny's or Wildfire or better seafood at The Oceanaire or Stella's Fish cafe, but it sure was fun. It would be a great place to go for a birthday party if you could afford it. It would probably be good for a date too but the atmosphere isn't all that romantic.

Four us had lunch there last Saturday, and were pleasantly suprised. Between us we had scallops, steak, and also one chicken lunch special. Option of the classic salad with ginger dressing or onion soup comes with the lunch special, fried rice is an upcharge if you want instead of steamed, and chix fried rice a little bit more again. Reasonable selection of wine and beer including sparkling splits, and a few sakes. they were unfortunately out of the Dai Ginjo (Dassai), which is great value. Service was very good, the "show" was also better than average, and all of the food was cooked perfectly. The scallops were perfectly seared, rice was done just right, and of course a healthy amount of butter and salt helps everything. As with any teppanyaki place, don't come if you're in a big rush, they will wait to have a full or fullish table before they start, and it takes a bit of time. I'm a little confused why everyone calls this hibachi here - I assure you hibachi is a totally different animal than teppanyaki! We arrived right at noon and it was quite busy and stayed that way as we left. Very reasonably priced, we all felt there was quite a lot of food, and all in all a very good lunch experience!

This review is for your Golden Valley Location since there isn't a yelp page for that location. I'm writing this review about the service and not the food at the Golden Valley Location. The food and the chef were good as always. But the chef Kenny was awesome. Our waitress gave us an attitude when we asked if the meal came with free ice cream. Instead of going to find out, she tells us that she isn't going to check all of our orders to see if we get free ice cream or not and then goes on to roll her eyes. We asked for a manager to make our complaint, only to find out that all combo meals come with free ice cream. How difficult would it have been for her just to find that piece of information out. Whatever happened to good customer service? I'll go to this venue again, but if I get this waitress I will have to ask for a different person.

Excellent lunch menu! Was there last week ordered beef lunch boat. It was delicious. Also was refreshing to see a general manager overseeing operations of restaurant. I go once sometimes twice a month and have yet to have a bad experience. I sit in bar area and waitstaff always professional yet friendly.

Don't understand the hype. We went there for the teppanyaki and were sadly disappointed. Nothing about this place is even remotely authentic. (Right down to their random words that sound somewhat Japanese birthday theme but are gibberish) Osaka has better food, better prices, better service, and bigger tables. Over all it was pretty generic and too crowded. We practically had to sit on each other's laps and because the tables are so small, the servers pretty much whisk your food/drinks away before you can even take a bite.

We usually go to the St Louis Park location but this one had better times available so we switched it up for once and I am so happy we did! We were early so went into the bar, ordered some sushi, and drinks, and they ended calling us early..OK, no problem. We head to the table and we had a great couple sitting next to us. We laughed the night away. So lucky right? Don't you hate it when you are sitting at a group table with a bunch of deadheads that don't talk or anything? The service at this one is way better than at St Louis Park in my opinion. We had Jake and he truly was the best server we have ever had at Benihana. The Chef, unfortunately, was one of the worst we have ever had. He did not do any good tricks, he screwed up some tricks, and he just seemed disconnected. He forgot my daughters shrimp or he incorrectly gave them to the wrong person, not sure, but we had to ask about her missing crustaceans and he seemed rather grumpy about it. Hey!! You with the sharp knives!! It was YOU who gave Ci's shrimp to the big guy on the corner, not us so fork over the Collosal Shrimp she is owed! It all worked out but I would not want that Chef to be the first experience anyone has because I am not certain they would come back. Food is always the same here, drinks are the same, nothing much has changed in the past 20 years but its fun. Its a nice place to go a few times a year on birthdays so you can get the free dinner cert and the photo taken.

The food is really good and the chefs know their stuff but the hosts at the front podium are super rude and arrogant. It is something to expect however, given the location; as Maple Grove tends to have rude employees at their shops and restaurants.

Went here for dinner, if you've been to a Japanese steakhouse before you know about the dinner & show. I'll have to say that Benihana's is a step above the mom & pop places for the atmosphere, food & the chef's. I guess that's why they are the kings. Had the Fillet & Chicken with the fried rice. I heard some people across from me say that this was the best Habachi meal they had while I can agree with that it was pretty good. All in all I can see why the place was crowded when we go there & stayed that way. Long live the King....

Admit it. We've all seen the episode of "The Office" where Michael, Dwight, Andy and Jim go to Benihana and see the smokin' onion volcano. I totally fell into the trap, hoping my experience would be identical to theirs... sans the whole bringing home the Benihana girls. ("Where's my girl? Is she in the refrigerator?") First things first. When you go, make sure you go with a group of 8 (or however many will fill a whole table). Otherwise, if you go with 4 people, like we did, you end up sitting with two awkward couples and it makes the meal very uncomfortable. Perhaps it is because this Benihana is located in extreme suburbia, but I just wasn't a fan. Our waitress had good intentions and was nice, but it felt like we were about to take off in an airplane. By this, I mean the waitress was totally acting like a flight attendant--right down to the shouting voice and holding the menu up in the air, reading from it...slowly. Now that I think about it, it felt more like story time. The chef soon came up and started to work his "magic." If by magic, you mean dropping the vegetables and other food on the floor throughout the whole meal. The food was decent. You get a LOT. By the time you actually get served the main course, there's a good chance you may be full. I think it's obvious people come here more for the experience, but mine was disappointing. Maybe it was just bad luck with a crappy waitress and fumbling chef? I would give it another shot.... perhaps not the one in Maple Grove? Oh, and PS. His steaming volcano was totally lame. It collapsed.

Took my sister out to dinner here to celebrate her b-day. It's about the same as going to Ichiban in Minneapolis. The food is pretty good but expensive. The cooks are entertaining but seeing it once is enough for me. She had a $30 gift card here for her b-day and the bill was still $60 after that for the two of us. I don't mind shelling out money for good food or a great experience. In my opinion, it wasn't worth it here; but, what can you expect from a chain restaurant. I'm more biased toward originality and quality food over the price of decorations and mediocre entertainment.

Fumbling chef who could not get any of the tricks right and who almost killed my sister when he couldnt understand she is allergic to anything of the muscles family (scallops) and her food couldnt touch the same things that they touched. Also as an added parting gift, we all got food poisoning. Thank you benihana for a wonderful birthday dinner!!! lol

Excellent food. Join birthday club and get a free $30 certificate for your birthday month. Was so worth it. You won't leave hungry, everything is good. Bad side, very expensive, without alcohol dinner for 2 was over $65 because beverage extra and fried rice extra. Adds up!!! But for once in a while, can't beat the food...always perfect!

We came here on Sunday Thanksgiving weekend 2009 with family. It's very crowded. We still had to wait for fifteen minutes even though we RSVP'ed. It's not a big deal. We liked Ichiban Steakhouse in Alpharetta, GA much better, perhaps because Benihana is a chain restaurant. The only thing we really enjoyed was the alcoholic beverages, maybe it's because we like to drink Sake and Mojito... No.. no.. we didn't mix them ^_^... I had Sake and my wife had Exotic Mojito. The service was excellent, and the bus person cleaned the table very quickly.

I love this place!!!! Brought my sister and her friends here for her sweet 16 and the experience was awesome! The food was great and was more than enough (always had left overs for later). i DO NOT GET THE HYPE of this place.... maybe ppl don't come here for the sushi... i've never dined here and since this was the nearest (by word of mouth, most decent) sushi places near me, i decided to get some takeout since the boy was craving sushi but was coming home late. since they didn't have any specialty rolls, i went with the classics. i had the yellowtail maki, spicy salmon handroll, spicy tuna roll, and rainbow roll. the fish didn't taste fresh, basically all the rolls had the imitation crab which was not creative and, in my opinion, not sushi! i was unimpressed.. the filet rolls were not creative, they just put the filet mignon pieces in rice with carrots and cucumbers. i asked one to be spicy but they just put some of the spicy mayo over one roll and it wasn't even spicy! it was just blah i'm glad i didn't spend a lot here bc i would've been even more pissed. the guy over the phone was so difficult to work with and overall, i'd never go to one again. there are soooooo many more places you could go for the hibachi experience and awesome sushi...

It's pretty darn good but I have a feeling that a lot of the high price is for the show the chef puts on and not just the food. Been to another Benihana in Chicago and it was probably a little better. I brought my 19 month old son and my 11 year old son and found that they really enjoyed it. My older son didn't want to eat until the chef was done making everything because he was so amused by the show, I think it was more fun for my young one too because there was so much going on, he usually gets bored at restaurants. It's a place everyone should try sooner or later and we will definitely be back. Service was great, food was pretty good and even the less experienced chefs are still fun. 1 suggestion to anyone who's never been there. Go with a group of at least 4 people because you never know who you'll end up sitting with.

The food was pretty good. It's just like you see in the commercials, getting food cooked in front of you. But for what you pay, it's not nearly that good. If you're in the mood for this kind of food, I'd highly recommend Ichiban in MPLS.

2/5 for me.
(2)Brent J.

(2)Vasil P.
Decent place, good sushi very good hibachi rice especially combined with their signature sauce. Needs to improve the customer service on the waiter and hostess side, but Natalie did a very good job with our table. Good for happy hour and lunch.
(4)Heather M.
Great service, great food, great experience. Next time i would like to bring 8 people (including myself) so we could fill a whole table. Two other couples with us, and the tables are kind of small and awkward sometimes.
(4)Kristine R.

Greatest place ever Went here for my girlfriends birthday and had a great time food was great, service was great, drinks was good.

(3)Amy M.
(3)Tanya D.
There food is always delicious! I would recommend going for lunch instead of dinner though. The lunch menu is basically the same as dinner, but much less expensive.
(4)Thomas S.

(5)Jennifer Y.
(4)Anya S.
There was glass in my soup. I asked for a manager but a hostess came over and brought me a drink. I dont drink. She said there was a new dishwasher ...didnt even offer a free meal or anything. We just left. Avoid this place.

(3)Meredith M.
(2)Ed P.
Japanese grilled food at Benihana is OHSOGOOD!. But I feel that the only way to convey my Benihana experience to you is with a Haiku (a Japanese Poem): Friends and Drunks Funny Japanese Food is Tasty Took home a Buddha - Fin
(4)Chad H.

(4)Kim C.
(2)Nadine G.
Benihana is always a fantastic meal. We walked in on a busy Friday night and still had the chance to dine. Delicious, entertaining and fun.
(4)Misty A.
(5)Miss D.
(2)Dan R.
Go for lunch and get the lunch boat. Mix of sushi and tempura and reasonably priced!
(3)Linda H.
(4)Fairuz S.
The food is really good and the chefs know their stuff but the hosts at the front podium are super rude and arrogant. It is something to expect however, given the location; as Maple Grove tends to have rude employees at their shops and restaurants.
(3)Joe D.
Best Chateaubriand Stake, tasty lobster tail, great performance, healthy dressing, full-bodied brown rice, and friendly stuffs. Reason of 4 stars was wine selection because I couldn't see Chianti.
(4)Rd N.
Karlye was most excellent, best service ever. food good as always. Order the RD-Palmer. It's off menu but amazing.
(5)Darren H.
(3)Emily U.

FUN super fun fun fun, and tricks, I wish i could take more time out of my life to sit down for chop chop diner, it was really pretty good as always, if you haven't knocked this off your bucket list, Do SO
(4)Marc L.
Unbelievable......You've got to Go!!!! You will NOT be disappointed!
(5)Michael N.
(3)Chris L.
Fumbling chef who could not get any of the tricks right and who almost killed my sister when he couldnt understand she is allergic to anything of the muscles family (scallops) and her food couldnt touch the same things that they touched. Also as an added parting gift, we all got food poisoning. Thank you benihana for a wonderful birthday dinner!!! lol
(1)Lee G.
(5)Ed S.
(4)Linda H.
I love this place!!!! Brought my sister and her friends here for her sweet 16 and the experience was awesome! The food was great and was more than enough (always had left overs for later). The chef is great and fun and their customer service was delightful! This place is great for entertaining and I highly recommend it. Great experience=great food!
(5)Linda N.
i DO NOT GET THE HYPE of this place.... maybe ppl don't come here for the sushi... i've never dined here and since this was the nearest (by word of mouth, most decent) sushi places near me, i decided to get some takeout since the boy was craving sushi but was coming home late. since they didn't have any specialty rolls, i went with the classics. i had the yellowtail maki, spicy salmon handroll, spicy tuna roll, and rainbow roll. the fish didn't taste fresh, basically all the rolls had the imitation crab which was not creative and, in my opinion, not sushi! i was unimpressed.. the filet rolls were not creative, they just put the filet mignon pieces in rice with carrots and cucumbers. i asked one to be spicy but they just put some of the spicy mayo over one roll and it wasn't even spicy! it was just blah i'm glad i didn't spend a lot here bc i would've been even more pissed. the guy over the phone was so difficult to work with and overall, i'd never go to one again. there are soooooo many more places you could go for the hibachi experience and awesome sushi...
(1)Eric S.
(4)Colleen S.
very good food....portions were small though and the waiter got the drinks mixed up and rhe bill wrong .....other wise good.
(3)Sam O.
The food was pretty good. It's just like you see in the commercials, getting food cooked in front of you. But for what you pay, it's not nearly that good. If you're in the mood for this kind of food, I'd highly recommend Ichiban in MPLS.
